Multi Op effort at N8CC contest station, using N8XX for call sign. Lot of fun. 1190 Qs’, 58 states and VE provinces, clean sweep of WAS many times over and 38 DX including HK0NA and T32XX. Pt total 292,000 and at present # 7 in North America in multi, HP category. DX condx lousy on Friday nite, but picked up Saturday nite. Ops, N8XX, K8KS, K8QKY, N8CC, K8JJC and NF8J. Some pictures of the contest at this link.

Did multi op @ N8CC station. Ops were NF8J, N8CC, W8DA, WA8ICK, WA8IIK, WA8UPB, K8MU & K8KS. We were 5th in the USA last yr, and beat that score by 50,000 pts this yr. 1138 Q’s, 58 States and VE provinces and 34 DX countries for score of 257,784. Great friends, food and Jeffs station performed flawlessly. N8UU provided another outstanding Bluegill fish fry for us. Highlite of Sat nite was Kaz, K8KS, running stations with Chinese accent. Had us rolling on the floor with laughter. Will post some pictures soon.

Had a fun time at N8CCs’ station for the contest. No propagation on 15 meters either nite, after our sunset.
During the dayllite hours, made 513 qsos’, 32 of 40 zones, and 116 DXCC countries, for 216,000 pts, which may win the 8th call district and should place very well for the USA. Great group of guys, good food and lots of RF emitting from the shack. Thanks to Jeff for all of his hospitality and use of aluminum and electricity…

Here some nice pictures of operators and visitors at Jeff’s N8CC’s contest station.

Went to N8CC’s contest station to have some fun with ham friends in the contest this weekend. Contest started at 7:00pm local time, an hour and a half after sunset. 15 meters and 20 meters alsolutely dead. Only spots were from the west coast working JA’s. So, came home, got a good nites sleep and back to Nashville this morning.

This is a link of  QSO with PA3GEG of last week (it might take a while to load the audio file)

This was emailed to me on 11/22/2010. I did not know that Gerald was recording the qso, so it was a complete surprise for me to get this. Gerald also has a very nice website that you can also reach at QRZ.com.

Worked CN8NK, Morroco on 12 meters, both CW and SSB for new country on 12 meters.

Worked ZL8X, Kermadec Island dxpedition on 12 SSB, 15 CW, 17  CW & SSB, 20 CW and 40 CW & SSB, filling 7 band, mode  slots I did not have. Great operation, with 7 stations and understand they are using Elecraft K3′s, just like my rig. They have a great web site and state that they took 2.5 tons of gear with them and the total operation is costing $130,000.00 so if you worked them, a contribution to the operation would be appreciated for sure.

Worked 6v7z on 5 bands both CW and SSB, great operation by group of German hams.
